I suggest that instead of asking for my login details (exposes me to a *massive* security risk since my email accounts are used to verify my identity across the web), and in lieu of proper 3rd party APIs, you set up mailboxes per user and ask users to auto-forward all email to those mailboxes.</p>Anonymoustag:feedback.socialminder.com,2008-02-07:Event/16948312010-04-02T23:13:19-04:002010-04-02T23:13:19-04:00examine your sign-up process. By having people spam their contacts to get the free upgrade BEFORE they have experienced the service, they do not have the passion around it that encourages them to shout from the rooftops.
Also, an ancillary effect is that you don't get to have the conversation with the users and improve the service to their satisfaction. It would be great to export what SocialMinder has done and reimport into Gmail to clean up my contacts, or import into my iPhone.
SocialMinder has already determined who I most frequently contact and displays the list. I would be great to download, or export or sync back up with Gmail.
